Description
Training staff in the correct use of emergency evacuation equipment available to them is one of the most important parts of ensuring evacuations procedures will work if the need arises.
Not only does it give staff knowledge of the equipment but it also helps them to develop the specific skills required to safely and effectively move non-ambulant individuals in an emergency situation.
Furthermore it enables organisations, to comply with the legal responsibilities under the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulation 1997, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
Here at Spectrum Healthcare (UK) Ltd, we offer onsite evacuation equipment training on our range chairs and mats, to help you plan and practice for emergency evacuations.
Sessions can be conducted as follows:
- Basic staff training courses – which includes both theory and practical sessions for up to 12 people per session (dependent on the size of the facility).
- ‘Train the Trainer’ courses – a more in depth session which gives the trainee all the knowledge required, to go on to train other members of staff. These sessions are restricted to a maximum of 6 people.
- Refresher training – which includes both theory and practical sessions for up to 12 people per session (dependent on the size of the facility).
We are also able to arrange maintenance on purchased evacuation chairs along with advice on how to ensure your mats and pads are fit for use (no maintenance required on these products).
For more information or to discuss a particular training or maintenance requirement please contact us for details.
