The AlbacMat is a flexible stretcher that can be used in an emergency to evacuate immobile people from such places as nursing homes, hospitals, shops, restaurants, schools and hotels in the event of a fire or similar emergency.
Its compact, self-storage and lightweight design means it can be easily stored and kept readily available for instant use. Its flexible design enables it to be used in confined space areas such as bath/shower rooms, airplanes, trains, or in narrow corridors and stairwells.
The AlbacMat consist of a light weight supported vinyl sheet bonded to a polycarbonate flexible board. The board allows the AlbacMat to glide over most types of surface including carpet, vinyl, concrete, bitumen and grass without building up heat.
Three velcro secure the individual while, a foot pocket support the feet. Other features include simple instructions on the self-storage pocket, fluorescent webbing straps for detection in dim lighting and three webbing loops on each side to enable easy positioning of the Albacmat if needed.
