Description
The Patient Handling Manikin has been specially designed to give users the feel of a real patient/resident during exercises and helps to avoid injuries associated with ‘high risk moves’ while practicing the correct procedures. Ideal for use during safe lifting and handling training or emergency evacuation planning and drills.
Featuring an elongated plastic spine and anatomically correct weight distribution, the manikins/dummies can be positioned upright in a bed, or sit in a wheelchair or hoist, without slumping – to simulate a ‘conscious’ patient.
Soft body joints eliminate the risk of the user receiving pinch welts and bruising while handling the manikin, making them much more user friendly then the plastic bodied manikins often used.
An immobilisation/extrication collar can easily be fitted around the neck to enable trainees to practice early mobilisation techniques and to help promote proper casualty care.
Constructed from easy to clean flame retardant polyester and reinforced with high density polypropylene webbing. Each manikin is supplied with washable pyjamas.
